The University of Illinois Chicago College of Business Administration (UIC Business) is seeking to hire a College Recruiter. Job Summary

This position will be responsible for building relationships in order to increase applications and grow the applicant pool for the undergraduate programs offered by the College of Business Administration. This role will serve as an integral part of the UIC Business recruiting and enrollment team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Assistant Dean for Student Recruitment and the Director of Recruiting and Enrollment in developing and executing a recruiting strategy for the undergraduate degree programs. This strategy is designed to attract top students and ensure that each incoming class meets the size, quality, diversity, and financial goals established by the dean.

  • Actively recruit candidates for the school’s programs by representing the College of Business Administration at recruiting fairs, corporate events, campus visits, information sessions, and speaking with candidates, both electronically and face-to-face.

  • Advise students on degree selection appropriate to future personal and professional goals.

  • Analyze and evaluate application information using university database software and CRM and produce data and reports to support enrollment management.

  • Coordinate and execute prospective student communication campaigns and admissions marketing outreach.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional program office projects and initiate new programming.

  • Work with UIC Business Department heads, campus admissions, and colleagues in other colleges to identify potential recruiting opportunities and support the admissions process.

  • Interview candidates for the program and serve as an information resource for prospective candidates.

  • Serve as an active member of the school’s admissions committee.

  • Oversee the hiring, training, and work assignments of student workers.

  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.Â


Job Knowledge & Skills, Education, Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree required. Master’s Degree in business, higher education, college student personnel, or closely related field preferred.

  • A minimum of one year of experience in student counseling, recruitment, admissions and/or UIC undergraduate campus involvement or leadership.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Effective presentation skills.

  • Experience with business students and curricula preferred.

  • Knowledge of university admissions policies, practices, and trends preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and sensitivity to working with diverse populations.

  • Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities.
