General Summary: The Student Engagement Support Specialist promotes, coordinates, and administers co-curricular programs, events, and activities that enhance student involvement outside of the classroom. This role supports recreational, social, cultural, and educational programming; advises and assists student clubs and organizations; and collaborates on campus-wide and college-wide initiatives.
The position serves on-campus and virtual students at the West Hills Center.
Requirements: Associates Degree
Duties: The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Manage the Campus Cupboard at West Hills Center, including placing orders, checking inventory, and preparing reports.
- Work with the Student Life and Engagement team on executing events, clubs/organizations, and services at the West Hills Center; including Wild Cat Welcome week orientation, Welcome Week events, Involvement/Resource Fairs, graduation celebration events, and other events as needed.
- Engage the students at the Center into participating in events and activities, including utilizing the Student Life and engagement areas.
Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check. The College has provided instructions on how to obtain these clearances.
