The part-time Support Staff provides clerical support in the areas of student support within the Division of Student Affairs. This position assists in the daily operations of the STEM Center including general office tasks, filing, record management and customer service functions.

Temporary position available through end of Spring 2026 semester.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
  • Participate in the daily operations of the primary assignment, providing clerical and administrative support to the STEM Center.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by greeting office visitors, responding to inquiries, answering phones, and corresponding via email, phone, and other communication channels.
  • Cross train within the Division of Student Affairs to provide clerical support as needed.
  • Contribute to a work environment that encourages and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Maintain full engagement during scheduled work hours, adheres to college policies, procedures, and routine office regulations.
  • Participate in college, division, department meetings, events and training as recommended and approved by the supervisor.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities, college committees, work groups, task forces, and other professional organizations as approved by the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities related to those listed above that do not alter the basic level of the position.


Job Requirements:
  • Experience in a busy office environment; associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience using and comfort with technology (basic Microsoft Office, etc.), as well as the ability and willingness to learn new computer-based programs.
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals and be perceptive and understanding of student concerns.
  • Must be team oriented, energetic, focused on details.
  • Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must possess strong customer services skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Works in an office setting. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The individual needs to move about inside the office to access office machinery. Constantly operates a computer and other equipment i.e. copier. This person frequently communicates with students, faculty and staff. Must be able to exchange accurate information

Additional Information:
Salary: $18 per hour. Part Time 18.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, hours negotiable between 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM. Requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as demand dictates.
