GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

The Support Staff Enrollment Services (part-time) serves as a member of the Student Financial Services department. This position performs cashiering, responds to inquiries and provides customer service. The Staff Assistant (part-time) processes forms, data entry, and other specialized clerical duties related to financial aid and student billing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide quality customer service. Respond to inquiries in-person and by telephone, chat software and email.
  • Disseminate information regarding students' financials including financial aid status and tuition and fee billing.
  • Cashiering/processing of tuition payments via cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • Provide daily reconciliation of payment activity including the completion of reconciliation reports.
  • Assists counselors with the Federal Work Study documentation processing and record-keeping.
  • Support third party billing and "One Card" processing for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Creation of documents including data entry needs to support student communication
  • Review, process, and update student related forms.
  • Other clerical tasks as assigned and/or or required.


Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Demonstrated skills in management of financial transactions, customer service or higher education, information management, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Gmail, and the ability to learn new software and other skills as needed.
  • Familiarity with a higher education environment, information management software and a demonstrated ability to manage projects to completion within an organization.
  • Must possess the ability to respond appropriately in a changing office environment while maintaining the focus required to see a task to conclusion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree
  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Works in an office setting. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The individual needs to move about inside the office to access office machinery. Constantly operates a computer and other equipment i.e. copier. This person frequently communicates with students, faculty and staff. Must be able to exchange accurate information

Work Schedule: Part-time18.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as demand dictates.
