The Director of Education Pathways provides leadership, program oversight and operational management in support of the Massachusetts Early Education and Career (EEC) Pathways Grant. The EEC Pathways grant is intended to remove barriers for students seeking employment in early childhood education and care. The Director oversees and facilitates all grant activity, including serving as the primary liaison between STCC and the Massachusetts' Department of Early Childhood Education and Care. This position ensures high-quality academic and holistic student support through an intentional advising/coaching structure that promotes student success and completion. The Director collaborates with faculty, staff and external partners to strengthen career pathways and coordinates advising and student support services that enhance student persistence.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage data collection and reporting, conduct internal evaluations of activities and communicate progress for the EEC Pathways Grant.
- Collaborate with Institutional Research to accurately measure enrollment, retention, pass rates, and graduation rates of assigned student caseloads. Additional metrics may be included and meetings with other grant data analysis persons would be required.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise and lead a team of staff providing academic advising and holistic student support associated with Education pathways.
- Monitor advising caseloads to ensure coordinated, proactive student support across enrollment, advising and student support.
- Identify opportunities and implement strategies for educational and career pathways for students within assigned advising caseloads.
- Collaborate with faculty to implement academic and pedagogic practices that promote grant activities and student success.
- Collaborate with the Student Success Center, faculty and supplemental instructors to support student cohorts.
- Participate in the selection and hiring process for faculty teaching EEC courses in Spanish.
- Maintain accurate records regarding purchasing and personnel associated Education Pathways and grant activities.
- Develop promotional materials for Education Pathways and EEC Grant Activities.
- Serve as primary contact for EEC Pathways Grant Evaluator and EEC administrators
- Collaborate with other EEC faculty, department chair, Grants Office, and Business Office to monitor grant budget and expenditures.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities related to those listed above, which do not alter the basic level of the position.
Job Requirements:
- Earned Master's degree in Education or related field.
- Budget and program development and management experience required Data tracking and report development experience required.
- High level of computer/digital literacy, especially for data management and reporting. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in a community college with diverse student populations.
- Understanding of and a commitment to the mission of a community college and the academic and support needs of under-served students.
- Project management experience.
- Demonstrated record of leadership and consensus-building skills. Strong technology skills.
Preferred:
- Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish or an Eastern European language Familiarity with the Department of Early Education and Care
- Background in Early Childhood Education Familiarity with a LMS such as Blackboard

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Working in an office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a stationary position. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files cabinets, office machinery etc. Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery i.e. calculator, copier etc. This person frequently communicates with employees. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.
Additional Information:
Salary: $85,000 Annually
Benefits: Yes. Full-Time Position, Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Occasional travel on the behalf of the college.

Grant Funded: Yes. EEC Pathways Grant. ***Continued employment is contingent upon grant renewal.
