Lynn Campus
- August 2025 - Flexible Hours - Finalize Pre-training curriculum/lesson plans
- September 8th - October 8th - Monday/Wednesdays; 5:30 - 9:30 - Deliver Pre-training course
- October 15th - February 11th - 2 hours weekly schedule to be discussed - ESL Supplemental Instruction and Coaching
SALARY: $50.00/hr., non-benefited position
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
This instructor will provide ESL instruction and coaching to students participating in a program integrating English language skills with training to prepare individuals to become Certified Nurse Assistants. The ESL instructor will deliver approximately 40 hours of instruction between September 8th and October 8th paired with independent online modules through the EnGen learning platform. This Instructor/Coach will then provide ongoing instruction, coaching and tutoring for students while they are participating in the C.N.A program between October and March 2026.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Learn the functionality and content of the EnGen platform.
- Create and implement lesson plans and assessments according to the syllabus and alignment with the EnGen platform content.
- Instruct students in the classroom and provide group or one-on-one coaching and support.
- Assess and grade students regarding course objectives and submit accurate grade and attendance records to the Division.
- Administer end-of-term course evaluations and participate in evaluation meetings with Division staff as needed.
- Collaborate with Division staff and other instructors as needed to develop and align lessons and ensure smooth level transitions.
- Establish a welcoming and respectful learning environment that fosters active student participation and a culture of high expectations.
- Adhere to general College and Program policies and procedures.
- Instruct students in classroom, lab, and off-site clinical.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with TESOL certificate. Master's degree or CAGS in TESOL preferred.
- ESL teaching experience is required.
- Preference for experience with CNA or healthcare programs.
- Experience interacting with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
- Sensitivity to the needs of adult and non-traditional learners.
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated to work independently.
- Technological proficiency, including Learning Management Systems
- Must have scheduling flexibility.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
