Job Description:


  • Performs Public Safety and Parking Department Administrative Duties.
  • Oversees college parking system.
  • Provides service to customers in a professional manner.
  • Greets, assists and/or directs students, visitors.
  • Manages PVTA bus passes.
  • Manages employee parking hang tags.
  • Issues temporary parking passes.
  • Inputs, retrieves and presents data using a computer.
  • Types and maintains various records and reports.
  • Communicates with various departments on campus.
  • Communicates with vendors.
  • Processes Public Safety & Parking office mail.
  • Responds to emails and phone calls.
  • Processes parking ticket appeals.
  • Assists parking committees.
  • Makes suggestions for process improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Requirements:


  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to problem-solve in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to work independently to get the work done with minimal supervision.
  • Must be absolutely reliable and responsible.
  • Must be able to effectively and professionally interact with difficult customers.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Computer skills required, including the ability to create and use Excel spreadsheets, MS Word, and email.
  • Minimum high school diploma, some college preferred.
