Job Description

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is seeking applicants for a Media Services Associate. The Media Services Associate maintains, plans, and installs classroom audio and video equipment. The associate is actively involved in room design, layout and assessment of technical needs like electrical power, network connections, and projector placement.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree and 2 years of related work experience, OR 4 years of related work experience

2. Understanding of computer hardware and associated software

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with installing and using Audio/Visual equipment.

2. Familiarity with classroom technology.

3. Experience designing a classroom layout.

Responsibilities:

Meeting with customers to determine needs
Supervise and/or install hardware in classrooms
Maintain hardware and plan for replacement/upgrades according to the replacement schedule
Ability to take charge, be proactive, and self-motivated
Support of special events and events from external entities, such as WCSD, for example
This position requires a variable and flexible work schedule that is determined by events and includes some evening and weekend work. Evening and weekend work will be compensated with time off during the week.

Salary and Benefits Information:

Salary: $38,456 - $48,070, Initial salary placement is dependent on education and experience.
