Applications are currently being accepted for Accessibility and DSPS Systems Manager in the Educational Services Division's Wellness, Safety, and DSPS department, located at the District Admin Office. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.
Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.
Under the general direction of the Dean, Wellness and Disability Support Programs and Services, the Manager will provide overall leadership and strategic planning for accessibility as defined by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which focuses on leading in the areas of web accessibility, procurement and digital content accessibility, in the integration of usability and accessibility in products and services, and will manage the DSPS workflow system at the San Diego Community College District. The Manager will serve as subject matter expert for the District to meet institutional compliance with laws, regulations, and established technical standards related to access technology.
Any combination of training and experience equivalent to a Masters degree in Business Administration or related field, a Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field, and extensive experience in budgeting, accounting, enterprise operations, or other business operations in a community college or other non-profit public sector organization of which at least three years are in a management or senior level supervisory capacity. CPA, CMA or related certification is also desirable.
Range 16 ($8,130.06- $13,003.86) per month based on the current Management Salary Schedule.
Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. This position is FLSA Exempt and may not accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
