Enrollment Services GeneralistJob Summary:
The Enrollment Services Generalist provides accurate, timely information and assistance to students and the college community throughout the enrollment process. This role supports student registration, explains college programs, services, and procedures, and ensures confidential student information is handled with care. The Enrollment Services Generalist delivers excellent customer service through clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to assist students with complex questions in a fast-paced environment.Job Description:
Student/Customer Services: 60%
- Provide frontline support and guidance to students, parents, and stakeholders on enrollment, records, financial aid, and related programs.
- Interpret and explain institutional, federal, and state policies accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
- Respond to inquiries via in-person, email, chat, and phone; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Participate in cross-training to support all student services areas.
- Conduct outreach to promote student engagement, recruitment, retention, and completion.
- Assist students with enrollment, financial aid, accounts, and the impact of course changes or withdrawals.
- Help students understand financial obligations and available resources.
- Coordinate follow-up and collaborate with team members for seamless service.
- Stay current on institutional and regulatory changes; suggest service improvements.
- Train students on online tools and provide general office support.
- Assist with onboarding and training of student employees.
Department Operations and Processes: 30%
- Generate reports and maintain accurate, confidential student records.
- Input data in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
- Support service center operations and connect students with advisors or other departments.
- Participate in process improvements and system issue follow-ups.
Other: 10%
- Participate in cross-departmental initiatives and campus events.
- Identify and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission, vision, strategic priorities and goals of the College and the primary unit, division and department of this position.
Physical: Primary functions require ability to remain in a stationary position (sit and/or stand) greater than 50% of the time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, reach; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 10 pounds frequently; to regularly operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard; the ability communicate to exchange information; and the ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions.
Environmental: Work will often occur in an office setting; where temperatures may fluctuate between high and low temperatures occasionally; may experience varying noise levels occasionally.
Vision: Ability to observe in a near visual range with or without correction or reasonable accommodation.

Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years of general office support or related experience.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines independently, seeking guidance only for complex or unclear situations.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and maintain a respectful, inclusive environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume cashiering, customer service, or student services (e.g., registration, financial aid, admissions, orientation).
- Experience working with computer information systems used for student and employee data and reporting such as Workday.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Pay:
$17.73/hr.
