The offices of Student Financial Services and Admissions (Enrollment Services) are currently seeking a Senior Enrollment Counselor (Financial Aid) to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and service-oriented environment. Reporting to both the Director of Student Transitions and the Associate Director of Student Financial Services, this position serves as a member of the Enrollment Services team and focuses on enrollment, retention and financial aid processes and services. The Senior Enrollment Counselor (Financial Aid) is primarily located in Student Financial Services and is cross-training in Admissions.
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Supports customer service operations by counseling students and families on enrollment and the financial aid applications and processes.
- Reviews and processes enrollment functions including admissions applications and financial aid file review, including verification and packaging of federal, state and institutional aid.
- Manages a caseload of students from recruitment through enrollment.
- Participates in enrollment, retention and financial aid outreach campaigns and events to support applicants, currently enrolled students and returning students, including evenings and weekends when required.
- Conducts enrollment services (admissions and financial aid) presentations to various internal and external constituencies.
- Performs and manages communication to various financial aid/student account groups.
- Provides reporting, processing and deregistration support as part of the enrollment services team.
- Participate in college, division, and department meetings, events and training as recommended and approved by supervisor.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, college committees, work groups, task forces, and other professional organizations as approved by supervisor.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities related to those listed above which do not alter the basic level of the position.
Job Requirements:
- Master's Degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience and/or training involving financial aid operations, or loan processing; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of admissions, enrollment, and student financial aid processes.
- Experience working with Ellucian Student Information System Colleague, CRM Recruit, Signal Vine, and Microsoft Applications. Excellent counseling and advising skills supported by effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-energy, service-oriented environment while also possessing attention to detail.
- Possess strong customer service, organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive and student-centered environment, and with students and prospective students of various learning styles, cultures, identities, and life-experiences.
- Ability to maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with internal and external colleagues and constituents.
- Ability to work independently, and as a team player, and be able to work under pressure.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PYSICAL DEMANDS:
Works in an office setting. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The individual needs to move about inside the office to access office machinery. Constantly operates a computer and other equipment i.e. copier. This person frequently communicates with students, faculty and staff. Must be able to exchange accurate information.
Additional Information:
Salary: $61,692 -$74,327 Annually, Grade 4 https://www.mass.edu/forfacstaff/classificationspecs/
Benefits: Yes, full time position. 37.5 hours per week between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as demand dictates.
